Propane Home Heaters

Propane home heaters are becoming more popular as they are reducing the risk factors of these heaters. Many propane heaters for the home are intended for use in the garage or other well ventilated areas. However, there are some propane heaters now that produce a safer and cleaner heat that have been deemed safe for indoor use.

In fact, propane home heaters for indoor use have built in sensors that monitor the oxygen. If by chance, the sensor ascertains a reading that designates there are too many harmful fumes in the air, it will automatically shut the unit off.

Most propane home heaters also have a fan that runs off batteries or ac power. The fan helps force the heat out into a larger area. Generally, the heaters can be run with or without the fan which comes in handy if the power goes out.

Propane home heaters are available as portable or wall mount models. Do be sure that the unit has the automatic shut off function with an oxygen sensor if you intend on using the heater someplace besides your garage. As an additional measure of protection, we also suggest the use of a home carbon monoxide alarm monitor.
