There are many types of materials that are used to make all types of gardening carts. I have found that the plastic ones hold up very very well and can be extremely light and durable. You can get them with two wheels, one wheel and four wheels. It all depends on how you want to use it. If you are doing light flower or vegetable garden work around your house then the average plastic type is fine. There are carts made of wood and steel but they are often more expensive and can get quite heavy. One thing to think about is where you will store the cart when it is not being used. Be sure that the one you choose will fit into your storage shed or the garage. You can even get carts that will easily fold for easy storage. One thing I don’t like about the folding carts is that they must be completely empty to fold and store. Many times I like to store stuff in the cart for a day or two and don’t want to have to worry about emptying the cart.
