Human beings are breeding faster and faster, and so the need for homes is more in demand than it has been at any time ever. The result of this demand has seen land process soar over the years and as a consequence the homes and their gardens are not only getting more and more expensive, but smaller too. Unless you happen to live in a country like Australia where there is an abundance of relatively inexpensive land (third of an acre gardens are the norm), you will be feeling ever more restricted as the rooms in new real estate, especially bedrooms, resemble the cupboards in granny’s bigger property.

So we have to become space efficient and treat our homes more like ships cabins than the family castle. The good news is we’re doing a good job at adapting. Bedrooms and bedding are manufactured with some really smart space saving designs, and whenever you need an extra bed but just don’t have the space, then out comes one of the foldaway camping air beds so that the kids can still enjoy the recreation provided by those sleepovers that all kids love so much.

There are many space saving and space efficient products created for today’s smaller homes, that not only make living less cramped, but actually gives us the feeling of having more space than we actually do.
