Your car is an important part of your life. It gets you where you need to go, when you need to go there. For me, taking good care of my car is taking care of my investment. Even though technically speaking, my car’s value goes down through the years, its personal value to me remains the same. I spent a lot on it, and I need it to get to and from my job, to run errands, and to make several other trips. That’s why every two weeks, I clean it from the inside out. Along with checking and filling all of the fluids, I wash the outside, taking extra care with the wheels and tires. I also check my tire pressure- a lot of people don’t realize that tire pressure affects the mpg your vehicle gets, and having pressure too low or too high can even result in an accident because of the way the rubber gets worn down.
Next I clean the interior of my vehicle. The inside of a car can get dirty fast, especially if you have dogs or kids, or use your car for transporting any outdoor equipment. There are a lot of hard-to-reach spaces that people neglect to clean, such as underneath or between the seats, and a lot of miscellaneous junk tends to accumulate those areas. This is why I use an automotive carpet extractor when I clean out my car. I get rid of everything that I can pick up and throw away, then use the portable extractor to clean the carpet and upholstery. This way I can be sure that my car will stay in good condition for years to come.
