What is an Aeroponic System?

Many people get areoponics and hydroponics mixed up. There are many similarities in both these systems, but areoponics is not sctually suspended in water like hydroponics.

An aeroponic system is the growing of plants just by using air, water and nutrients.

The aeroponic system supports the ‘pod’ that holds the plant and suspends it in mid air. The roots of the plant are then sprayed with a very fine mist of water and nutrients. This process is usually done automatically through a specially designed system (though you can make your own).

The plants grow up to 50% faster than traditional methods and are healthier and free of pests and disease.
